"3D Pipe Puzzle Guide: Towers, Lava and Gas in Pipe Connect 3D"
A 3D pipe puzzle guide to the last worlds of Pipe Connect 3D – tall Tower levels, slow lava, rising gas, pumps and filters, with tips for every board.

A 3D pipe puzzle gets a lot more interesting once the liquid stops behaving like plain water. In the last three worlds of Pipe Connect 3D, lava crawls and sets hard, gas floats upward, dirty water needs cleaning, and some boards climb far above your screen. This guide explains each new rule in plain words and gives you a few habits that make the Tower levels feel calm.
New to the game? Start with our water pipe puzzle guide, which covers sealed routes, tees and caps, the three level types and the move target. Everything there still applies here.
Volcano Forge: keep the lava moving
Volcano Forge is world 8: dark stone tiles, glowing seams and pools of lava around the board. Lava has two habits.
It is slow. It travels at a little over half the speed of water, so timed levels give you more room to work ahead of it.
It waits instead of splashing. Water leaks the moment it reaches an open end. Lava stops. In Flow and Mission levels it sits there for three seconds, glowing and throwing sparks, then hardens and the try is over. In those seconds you can still turn the pipe in its way, and if it lines up, the lava carries on.
The catch: this only helps when the problem is the next pipe. A pipe the lava has already entered is wet and locked, so if that pipe points into a rock or the board edge, there is nothing left to turn. Fix the pipes in front of the lava before it arrives, and treat the three seconds as a safety net, not a plan.

Filters and dirty water
Some Volcano Forge boards use the forge's dirty cooling water instead, and their tank only takes clean water. Somewhere on the route sits a filter, a white cartridge with a green band. Dirty water goes in one side and comes out clean, and you can see the colour change in the glass. A filter turns like a straight pipe. If the water reaches the tank without passing it, the tank refuses it, so find the filter early and build the route through it.
Sky Tower: gas rises
Sky Tower is world 9, all white tiles and clouds, and its liquid is gas. The big rule: gas rises. It flows up and sideways by itself but never down a pipe on its own. The only way down is a pump, a blue box with a spinning fan and a yellow arrow. A pump works like a one-way pipe, so when the route drops, the pump in that drop must point down.
Gas leaks are quick, too. In Flow and Mission levels, gas at an open end gathers in a small cloud for two seconds, then escapes, and you can turn the pipe in its way until then. Later levels put gas and water on the same board, each with its own tank, so read the striped pipes before you build either route.
Tower levels: boards taller than your screen
Sky Tower is also where Tower levels begin. A tower is five to seven tiles wide and up to 34 rows tall, with the source on the bottom row and the drain on the top row. You meet them at levels 4 to 6, 12 and 17 of Sky Tower, and as levels 21 and 22 of all three final worlds, in Zen, Flow or Mission form.
To look around, drag the board or scroll the mouse wheel; a drag never turns a pipe. The climb bar on the right shows the drain at the top, the source at the bottom and a white frame for the part on screen, and tapping it jumps you there. On a keyboard, PageUp and PageDown move the view. Once the liquid runs, the camera climbs with it and keeps the front in the lower part of the screen, while the bar fills to show the climb.

How to approach a tower
- Look at the top first. Jump there with the climb bar and see which way the drain opens, so your climb arrives on the right side.
- Build from the bottom on timed levels. Fix the pipes nearest the source first, then stay a few rows ahead of the liquid.
- In Zen, check the whole route before you open the tap. Scroll from bottom to top and look at every opening. One wrong pipe near the top costs a full climb.
- Let hints find the pipe. A hint turns the first wrong pipe on the route and scrolls the view to it.
Space Station: everything at once
Space Station, world 10, sits among the stars with white tiles and blue lights. It has no new piece. Instead, every level mixes the journey's pieces and liquids: valves, one-way pipes, acid that needs a filter, lava, water and oil, padlocks, mixers, cracked pipes, gas and pumps. Read the goal card before you start, since it often points out the trickiest piece on the board, and the line above the board keeps the goal in view while you play.
When the journey is done, the daily puzzle and Endless mode keep going. For other logic games, see the best free puzzle games or the puzzle games category.
FAQ
What happens when lava stops in Pipe Connect 3D?
In Flow and Mission levels, lava that reaches an open end waits for three seconds and then hardens, which ends the try. During those seconds you can still turn the pipe in its way, and if it lines up, the lava flows on. In Zen levels it just stops and drains away, and your pipes stay as they are so you can fix it.
Why won't the gas go down a pipe?
Gas rises, so it only flows up and sideways by itself. To go down, it needs a pump in the drop with its yellow arrow pointing down. Check the arrow on every pump along the route, because a pump that points the wrong way blocks the gas completely.
How do I scroll on a Tower level?
Drag the board up or down, or use the mouse wheel. You can also tap the climb bar on the right edge to jump to any part of the tower, or press PageUp and PageDown on a keyboard. A drag never turns a pipe, and once the liquid starts, the camera follows it upward.
What does the filter do?
A filter cleans the liquid that passes through it: dirty water and acid go in and come out as clean water. The tank on a filter board only accepts clean water, so the route has to run through the filter. A filter turns like a straight pipe and has two useful positions.
