Free puzzle games are the perfect way to unwind and keep your mind busy at the same time. This top 10 covers every kind of puzzle — fitting blocks, matching tiles, pure logic, sorting, merging, sliding cars and pushing stone blocks — and every one plays free in your web browser on a phone, tablet or computer, with no download and no sign-up.
All ten are original games made by the GamesYap team. For the logic puzzles we go a step further: solver programs check the levels, so every board or level can be finished without guessing. You can read how in how we make and test our games.

1. Block Puzzle Bloom – the 8×8 block puzzle
Block Puzzle Bloom is the kind of puzzle you can play for two minutes or two hours. Drag colourful blocks onto an 8×8 board and fill whole rows or columns to clear them. Clearing two, three or four lines at once earns Great, Amazing and Spectacular bonuses, and clearing move after move builds a combo.
Play Endless Classic for high scores, or the Garden Path — 24 levels, each one cleared by a test player before it made the cut. A daily challenge gives everyone the same pieces. If you like it, Cube Quilt offers the same 8×8 idea with stitched fabric patches. Our block puzzle strategy shows how to keep the board open.
2. Lotus Mahjong – mahjong solitaire
Lotus Mahjong is mahjong solitaire on a living lotus pond: match pairs of free tiles until the whole board is clear, while koi swim below and petals drift past. Every board is winnable, with boards from 32 tiles up to the 144-tile Grand Lotus.
The Lotus Path has 24 boards in four chapters, and a free hint, undo and shuffle are always available. New to the game? Read our mahjong solitaire rules and strategy.

3. Mine Seeker – minesweeper without guessing
The classic minesweeper has one big frustration: sometimes you must guess. Mine Seeker removes it. Every field can be solved by logic, so a loss is always a lesson rather than bad luck. Four sizes run from Easy 9×9 with 10 mines to Expert 16×30 with 99 mines, and hints point at a cell that logic proves safe.
Learn the key number patterns in our minesweeper patterns guide.
4. Flask Fiesta – water sort puzzle
Flask Fiesta is a relaxing water sort puzzle: help Dr. Ada pour coloured potion layers between glass flasks until every flask holds a single colour. There are 72 levels in six lab chapters, free undo and hints, and Speed Lab, a timed mode where each solved lab adds 12 seconds.
It is one of the calmest games on this list — perfect at the end of the day. See our water sort puzzle tips for the tricky levels.

5. Lantern Sudoku – classic number logic
Lantern Sudoku is the classic: fill the 9×9 grid so every row, column and 3×3 box holds 1 to 9 exactly once. Every puzzle is freshly generated with exactly one solution, across five difficulty steps from Starter to Expert. Notes, undo and up to three hints help you learn, and Lantern Cross mode adds the extra rule that both diagonals also hold 1 to 9.

6. Jelly Jar – drop and merge puzzle
Jelly Jar mixes puzzle and physics. Drop squishy jellies into a jar; when two of the same size touch, they melt into a bigger one, all the way up the eleven sizes to the crowned Jelly King. The jellies roll, wobble and stack, so where you drop matters as much as what you drop. Read our drop and merge puzzle tips.
7. Fuse Tiles – the sliding number puzzle
In Fuse Tiles, every swipe slides all the tiles on a 4×4 board, and two tiles of the same level fuse into the next level. It follows the much-loved 2048 formula, with 30 journey stages, a daily challenge and an Endless mode with undo charges. Our 2048 corner method works here too.
8. Honk Out – car parking puzzle
The little red car is boxed in. In Honk Out you slide cars and trucks along their lanes to clear a path to the exit. Its 64 hand-picked lots run from 2 to 28 moves, each with a known perfect solution, and Valet Rush adds generated lots against the clock.
9. Relic Rooms – box pushing puzzle
Relic Rooms is a box pushing puzzle across 40 hand-made temple rooms. Push blocks, use pressure plates, keys and levers, and avoid pits and spike traps to grab each relic and reach the stairs. Unlimited undo and no timers make it a thoughtful, unhurried challenge.
10. Tile Twist – pipe connect puzzle
Tile Twist asks you to rotate path tiles so sunlight flows from the sun to every tile and every flower bud blooms. Boards grow from 3×3 to 7×7 over 36 levels, and Mirror Lagoon adds twin tiles that turn together.

Why puzzle games are so satisfying
Puzzle games give you a clear problem, the tools to solve it and the instant reward of seeing it click into place. They fit into any spare moment, you improve with practice, and the best ones — like the logic puzzles above — are completely fair: everything you need to win is right there on the screen.
