Lantern Sudoku is a free sudoku game you can play online in your browser, with no download needed. Fill the 9×9 grid so every row, column and 3×3 box holds the numbers 1 to 9 exactly once. Every puzzle is freshly generated with exactly one solution.
Lumi, the lantern keeper, guides you through a calm festival night. She shows your first move, cheers your streaks and claps when a row, column or box lights its lantern. Climb a five-step path from a quick Starter puzzle to Expert, and try the Daily puzzle, which is the same for everyone each day. After your first Medium solve, Lantern Cross opens: a variant where both long diagonals must also hold 1 to 9.
Notes, undo and up to three hints make it friendly for beginners. It plays on phones, tablets and computers, and your puzzle is saved so you can continue later. Lantern Sudoku is an original game made by the GamesYap team. Enjoy pure logic? Mine Seeker is another no-guess puzzle.

Yes. It runs in the browser on phones, tablets and computers. On a touch screen you tap a cell and then a number, and notes work the same way. On a computer you can use the keyboard numbers and arrow keys.
Fill every empty cell of the 9×9 grid with a number from 1 to 9. Each row, each column and each 3×3 box must contain every number exactly once. Use the given numbers to work out where the missing ones go, one logical step at a time.
Start with Starter or Easy. These puzzles have many given numbers and can be solved with simple singles. Medium adds fewer clues, while Hard and Expert need careful notes. Solving one level unlocks the next, so the path grows with your skill.
Lantern Cross is a variant mode in Lantern Sudoku. On top of the normal rules, the two long golden diagonals must also hold the numbers 1 to 9. It opens after your first Medium solve and adds extra clues to work with.
