Tea Stall Clicker Tips: Kettles, Regulars and Adda Time
Tea stall clicker tips for Cha Adda: what to buy first, how the Adda Meter works, when to start Adda Time, how rain and power cuts help, and when to expand.

A good clicker game starts with one tap and ends with a whole street humming along without you. These tea stall clicker tips are built around Cha Adda, our free tea stall game, where one dented kettle at a roadside corner grows into the busiest tea shop in town. Most of the ideas also work in other clicker and idle games.
In Cha Adda, old Habib Mama hands you his stall. You get a kettle, a bench and a first customer, Rickshaw Kaka, who has been waiting all morning for his cup. Over time seven more regulars find your bench: Shuvo the poet, Ritu the student, Headmaster Sir, Khala the neighbourhood auntie, Rony the cricket fan, Mamun the office clerk and Dadu the grandpa. Each of them has plenty to say.
Start by tapping, then let the stall pour
Every tap on the kettle pours a glass of tea and gives you coins. The first Electric Kettle costs only a few taps, and from then on it pours tea on its own. That is the basic rhythm of every clicker: taps get you started, equipment carries you forward.
A simple start that works well:
- Tap the kettle until you can buy an Electric Kettle, then buy it.
- Open the Upgrades tab and buy Ginger Tea. It doubles the value of every tap at the start.
- Save up for a Clay Stove, then a Tea Boy.
- Keep buying Electric Kettles in between. They are cheap and add up quickly.
Each piece of equipment gets a little more expensive with every one you own, so it often pays to spread your coins over different kinds instead of buying twenty of the same thing.
Upgrades are worth more than you think
The Upgrades tab hides the biggest jumps in the game. Every kind of equipment has two upgrades. The first opens as soon as you own one of it, the second once you own fifteen, and each one doubles everything that kind of equipment makes.

That means an upgrade for your best earner is often a better deal than ten more pieces of equipment. A good habit is to open the Upgrades tab every time you have spare coins; a small dot on the tab tells you when something is affordable.
The kettle itself also improves. After Ginger Tea come the Steel, Brass and Copper kettles. Each one makes your taps stronger and adds a share of your income to every tap, so tapping stays useful long after the first hour. You can watch the kettle on the counter change as you buy them.
The Adda Meter: why your regulars matter
This is the twist that makes Cha Adda more than a plain clicker. Your regulars do not just drink tea, they sit on the benches and chat, and their chat fills the Adda Meter at the bottom of the stall.
Here is how the meter fills:
- Seats. The stall starts with three seats. Every bench you buy adds two more, up to five benches. More people sitting means a faster meter.
- Speech bubbles. Now and then a bubble pops up over one of the regulars with their latest line. Tap it to join the chat, and the meter jumps forward.
- The radio. The Radio Corner gets everyone talking faster, so the meter fills quicker.
- Rain. When it rains, nobody wants to leave, and the chat goes twice as fast.
The lines are worth reading. Rickshaw Kaka knows every pothole by name, Khala always has news, and Rony is sure his unwashed jersey is lucky. The Adda tab shows every regular and the last thing they said.
When to start Adda Time
When the meter is full, a gold Adda Time button appears. Adda Time gives five times the coins from everything for 30 seconds, including your taps. The meter does not start on its own, so you choose the moment.

Some good moments to start it:
- Right after you buy a big piece of equipment or an upgrade, so the bonus multiplies your new, higher income.
- When you have a few seconds to tap the kettle as fast as you can, because taps count five times too.
- Not during a power cut, when some of your equipment is switched off.
On a computer you can press A to start Adda Time and Space to pour.
Rain and power cuts
Two events come on a fixed schedule, and the stall warns you a little before each one.
- Rain. Fewer people walk past, so income drops a little, but the regulars stay and chat twice as fast. Rain is the best time to tap speech bubbles and fill the meter.
- Power cut. The electric kettles switch off for a few minutes, and a lantern lights up the counter. Your clay stoves do not need power, and they work three times as hard while it lasts. A good mix of kettles and stoves keeps you safe.
Expanding the stall
After a while, progress slows down. That is the moment to look at the Expand tab. When you expand, your equipment, upgrades and coins start again, but you keep your regulars for good. Every regular adds 2% to all your coins, so the next run grows faster than the last.
The stall grows with you, too. After the first expansion it becomes a painted wooden stall, and after the third a real little tea shop with string lights. A good moment to expand is when the number of regulars on offer is large compared with what you already have.
The Expand tab also shows your Stall Rank, which goes up as your stall sells more tea over all your runs. Signed-in players earn GamesYap points for each new rank; read how GamesYap points work for the details.
Play at your own pace
Cha Adda is meant to fit around your day. Your equipment keeps pouring tea while the game is closed, for up to eight hours, and a short visit to collect coins, buy a few things and start an Adda Time is a complete session. In the Settings you can change the music and sound, turn off vibration or use the performance mode on older phones.

FAQ
What should I buy first in Cha Adda?
Buy an Electric Kettle as soon as you can, then the Ginger Tea upgrade, which doubles your taps. After that, save up for a Clay Stove and a Tea Boy, and keep adding cheap kettles in between.
How do I fill the Adda Meter faster?
Tap the speech bubbles over your regulars, buy benches for more seats and add the Radio Corner. Rain also doubles the chatting, so it is the best time to tap bubbles.
When should I start Adda Time?
Start it right after a big purchase, and when you can tap the kettle quickly for 30 seconds. Adda Time multiplies everything by five, taps included.

Is Cha Adda free?
Yes. Cha Adda is free to play in your browser on phones, tablets and computers, with nothing to download or buy. Coins only exist inside the game.
