Idle Fair Tycoon Tips: Happy Visitors, Short Queues, More Fame
Idle fair tycoon tips for Mela Maath: what to build first, how to keep every kind of visitor happy, beat rain days, use the Workshop and grow each fair.

A village fair is a wonderful setting for an idle game. There are sweets frying in big pans, a wooden wheel creaking round, puppets dancing on strings and a crowd that gets bigger every evening. These idle fair tycoon tips are built around Mela Maath, our free fair game, where you run a fair for seven days at a time and grow it from a quiet village field into a huge New Year celebration. Many of the ideas also help in other management games.
In Mela Maath you play Shapla, a young organiser who wants to bring back her village's lost fair. Haru Kaka, who once managed a travelling jatra troupe, knows how a good fair works, and Tuntun, a small boy, is the happiest visitor of all.
Start small and keep tapping
Every fair begins with an empty ground and three open plots. Your first coins come from the dhol: tap the ground and Haru Kaka beats it, and people buy tickets. Build the Peanut Cart as soon as you can, then the Balloon Stand. Both are cheap and they please the families and kids who make up a big part of a village crowd.
Keep tapping in the first minutes. Each beat gives a fifth of a second of your income, so the dhol stays useful later too, but it matters most at the start, when it is your main source of coins.
Build something for everyone
This is the heart of the game. Visitors come in six kinds: families, kids, young friends, elders, photographers and foodies. Each kind likes a few attractions and spreads itself among the ones you have built. If a kind finds nothing it likes, those people simply walk in, look around and go home.
The Visitors tab shows every kind, the share of the crowd it makes up and the attractions it enjoys. Kinds with nothing to do are marked in red. That is your shopping list. The Puppet Show is a great early pick because kids, families and elders all love it, and the Nagordola Wheel brings in young friends and photographers.
Every attraction can be built once per fair, so the aim is a full set rather than many copies of the cheapest stall.

Watch for queues
Each attraction serves only so many people a second: its level times its capacity. When more visitors want it than it can serve, a queue forms, the card turns red and says so, and the people at the back give up.
Raise the level of the attractions with queues first. A level is cheap compared with a new attraction, and it turns lost visitors into paying ones at once. The little bar on each card shows how busy an attraction is. A full bar on a cheap stall is the best place to spend spare coins.
At level 25 every attraction gets a brighter new look and its price doubles, so pushing a favourite past 25 is always worth it.
Keep the crowd happy
The happiness badge at the top shows how many of the visitors were served in the last minute. It is not just a nice number. Happy visitors tell their friends, so a high happiness score brings more people the next minute, and a low one brings fewer. A fair that serves everyone grows on its own.
The two causes of unhappy visitors are always the same: a kind with nothing it likes, or a queue. Fix those and the happiness climbs back quickly.
Plan for evenings and rain
Each fair day lasts five minutes of play and runs from morning to night. Evenings are the busiest time, with more visitors than at any other part of the day, and the fair lights come on after dark. Spend your coins before the evening rush, not during it.
Some days bring rain, and on a rain day only part of the usual crowd comes. The Fair tab shows which days will be wet from the very start, so there are no surprises. Canopies let more visitors brave the weather, so buy a canopy or two on the Visitors tab before the first rain day arrives.

End each fair with Fame
When the seventh day ends, the fair closes. Every visitor you served during its days becomes Fame. Coins you collect while you are away still help you build, but only the visitors served on the days you play count for Fame, so the days you run matter most.
Fame stays with you for good, and it works in two ways. All the Fame you have ever earned makes visitors spend a little more at every fair. The Fame you have not spent yet buys upgrades in the Workshop.
Spend Fame in the Workshop wisely
The Workshop is where a good fair becomes a great one. Its upgrades last for every fair to come:
- Bigger crowds brings more visitors to every fair.
- Extra plot means each fair starts with one more open plot.
- Start coins gives each fair a head start, so the first attractions go up at once.
- Canopy stock starts every fair with canopies already up.
- Better attractions give one attraction more capacity and a higher price.
Early on, Start coins and an Extra plot make the first day of every fair much quicker. After that, look at the attractions that always end up with queues and make them better.
Move up to bigger fairs
Bigger fairs open with the Fame you earn in all. The book fair, on a green campus, opens at 40 Fame and attracts more young people, elders and photographers. The Boishakh New Year fair opens at 600 Fame and draws the biggest crowd of all. Both give more Fame than the village fair, two and four times as much, so moving up as soon as you can makes everything grow faster.
Every new fair starts with an empty ground, but your Workshop upgrades come along.

FAQ
Is Mela Maath free?
Yes. Mela Maath is free to play in your web browser, with nothing to download, install or buy. Every attraction, fair and Workshop upgrade is free, and coins and Fame exist only inside the game. Signed-in players also earn GamesYap points for each fair day and for three achievements.
What should I build first?
Start with the Peanut Cart and the Balloon Stand, which are cheap and please families and kids. Then build the Puppet Show and the Nagordola Wheel, so that elders, young friends and photographers find something to enjoy too. After that, follow the red marks on the Visitors tab.
Why do visitors leave without paying?
Either their kind has nothing it likes at the fair, or the attraction they wanted has a long queue. Build something for every kind of visitor and raise the level of busy attractions. The Visitors tab and the red queue warning on each card show you which problem it is.
Does the fair keep going while I am away?
Yes. While you are away your stalls keep selling at a quieter pace for up to eight hours, and the coins are waiting when you come back. The fair days only move while you play, so none of the seven days pass without you.
