Some idle games let you watch numbers climb. Others put you on the shop floor yourself. These idle shop game tips are built around Shop Para, our free 3D shop game, where you walk around your own street, pick fruit from the trees, carry it to the racks and stand at the till while customers pay. Many of the ideas also help in other arcade-style management games.
In Shop Para you play Mitu. She has 100 coins and her grandfather's old street, which used to be full of shops and is now a row of empty lots. Dadu, her grandfather, remembers how the street used to be, and he has a few words of advice along the way.
Learn the loop first
The first few minutes teach everything you need. Walk onto the Fruit Store lot and stand still: the coins flow into the dashed zone until the store is yours. Then buy the apple garden, then the apple rack. A yellow arrow always floats over the next job, so you never have to guess where to go.
From then on the loop is the same for every item. The trees grow fruit on their own. You walk up to them and the fruit stacks in your arms. You carry it to the matching rack and it goes out on display. Customers walk in through the gate, take what they came for, queue at the till and pay. The coins pile up beside the till until you walk over and pick them up.
Fill your arms before you walk
The single biggest time saver is simple: never walk to the rack with one apple. Stand by the trees until your arms are full, then make the trip. The counter at the top of the screen shows how much you carry out of how much you can.
A garden holds up to eight pieces of fruit, so after a busy stretch there is usually a full load waiting. If a garden is empty, check the others. With several fruits on sale there is almost always one ready to pick.
Keep the till busy
Customers only pay when someone stands behind the till. In the first minutes that someone is you, so get into a rhythm: stock a rack, step behind the till, serve the queue, collect the coins, and go back to the trees.
A long queue is good news, but customers who wait too long at an empty rack will give up and go home. If you see people waiting by a rack, stock that one first.

Add new fruits steadily
Every new fruit does two jobs at once. It sells for more than the one before, and it brings more customers through the gate, because the shop has more to offer. That is why it pays to keep buying the next garden and rack rather than saving for something far away.
Each fruit needs its garden first and then its rack, and the rack is cheaper than the garden. When you are close to the price of the next garden, a few quick sales at the till usually cover it.
Level up the busy racks and gardens
Stand next to a rack or a garden and a small card shows its level and the price of the next one. A rack can go up two levels, from 12 fruit to 24, so it runs empty less often. A garden can go up four levels, and each one makes it grow faster and keep more fruit ready to pick. Level up the fruits people buy most first.
Use the HR room well
Once two fruits are on sale, the HR room opens near the gate. Stand at its desk and a panel shows everything you can buy there.
- The cashier works the till for you. Hire the cashier first: sales keep going while you are picking fruit at the back.
- Helpers walk between the gardens and the racks and stock whichever rack is emptiest. Up to four can work in each shop.
- Walking speed and carry more make every one of your own trips faster.
- Helper speed and helper carries more make the team faster.
- Better prices raise what every customer pays.
A good order is the cashier, one helper, a level of carry, then more helpers as the shop grows. Prices pay off best once many fruits are on sale.
Plan for the chocolate shop
The lot next door is for sale too, and it costs much more than the first one. Behind it waits a Chocolate Shop where machines make 20 kinds of sweets, from milk bars and truffles to fudge squares and grand boxes. Sweets sell for far more than fruit, so opening it is a big step forward.
Save for it once the Fruit Store has its cashier and a couple of helpers. That way the fruit side keeps earning while you build up the chocolate side from scratch. The Chocolate Shop has its own HR room, helpers and upgrades.

Let the street work while you are away
When you come back after a break, a welcome card shows what your shops earned. Only shops with a cashier and helpers keep working without you, because somebody has to stock the racks and take the money. Away earnings run at a quieter pace and stop after eight hours, so a short visit every so often keeps them flowing.
The street also has its own clock. A day lasts six minutes, the light turns golden in the evening and the street lamps come on at night. It is a nice moment to stop and look at how far the street has come.

FAQ
Is Shop Para free?
Yes. Shop Para is free to play in your web browser, with nothing to download, install or buy. Every lot, garden, rack, helper and upgrade is paid with coins you earn in the game. Signed-in players also earn GamesYap points for each new item they put on sale and for four achievements.
How do I move?
Drag anywhere on the screen and a joystick ring appears under your finger; the further you drag, the faster you walk. On a computer you can also drag with the mouse or use the arrow keys or WASD. Pinch, scroll or press + and − to zoom. To buy something, just stand on its dashed zone.
Why are my customers leaving?
Customers leave when the rack they want stays empty for too long. Keep the racks stocked, starting with the ones where people are waiting, and hire helpers to do it for you. Customers at the till also need someone behind it, either you or a cashier.
What should I buy first in the HR room?
Hire the cashier first, so the till works while you pick and stock. Then hire a helper and buy a level of carry more for yourself. Add more helpers as you add fruits, and buy better prices once you have plenty of fruits on sale.
