Launch Ghat is a free idle boat tycoon that you can play online in your browser with no download. Rafi has just taken the lease of an old river ghat, a busy port where passenger launches come and go, and all he owns is one small launch and a wooden pontoon.
Put launches on eight routes, from a short hop to the Char Island to the long trip up the Hill River, and move each route up to bigger launches: double-deckers, night launches and finally a river cruiser. Every passenger has to cross the pontoon, so build berths and wider gangways when the crowd grows. Then add a tea stall, a snack stall and a book stall, and get ready for the river's weather: fog, rush days and storms.

Yes. Launch Ghat is free to play in your web browser, with nothing to download, install or buy. Every route, launch type, berth and town is free. Coins exist only inside the game, and signed-in players also earn GamesYap points for each new route from the third one up and for three achievements.

Yes. The game runs in the browser on phones, tablets and computers, upright or sideways. Tap the ghat to help passengers, tap Sail or Hold when a storm comes and use the tabs at the bottom to buy. On a computer you can also press Space to help passengers on board.
A minute before a storm, the signal mast shows a number from 1 to 4. On signal 1 or 2 the water is only rough, so sailing pays storm fares. On 3 or 4, hold every launch at the ghat. If you sail anyway, the launches turn back, the fares are paid back and your reputation drops.
Everyone who travels has to cross the pontoon, and it can only carry so many people each second. When more passengers come than the berths and gangways can handle, the rest miss the launch and pay nothing. More berths, wider gangways and a waiting shed for rush days fix that.
When all eight routes are running, you can take over a ghat in a new river town. Your launches, pontoon, shops and coins start again, but you keep your Ghat Fame for good. Each point adds 2% to all your fares and taps, so every new ghat grows faster than the last.
